Re: Oracle 11.5.8 / 8i on Suse 8.2 Pro - Import

Hi Tanel,

I had a number of options available, and I took the metalink document (Export/Import process for OA Rel. 11i), patched the Win server (11.5.3) so it was ready for the export, and exported. Thankfully the 40 gig of db files, exported out to less than 4 gig.

Now I've installed (under suse 8.2), as per the import/export doc, 11.5.8.

It *should* import without any problems. I'm at the stage of creating finalizing the install (which was "upgrade" as per doc), and its failing on a number of things.

It doesnt help that 3 different docs say 3 different things.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else had had any luck under suse 8.2
