Why not? MSSQL is a perfectly respectable product, you wouldn't want to use it to run a telco, but for 90% of businesses out there its a viable and (in some circumstances) cheaper alternative to Oracle. If you were talking about conversion from one thing to another then that would be costly and problematic, but for a straight choice between the two for a new product choose the more appropriate one.
