Stay away at all costs? Really? Can you back that up with some sort of evidence that would actually suggest there is no scenario in which NAS should be used? I will be running some tests against a Netapp filer soon, while I am sure I might be able to come up with some scenarios in which the filer might not be a good idea I hardly think the technology should be dismissed out of hand.
