From Mitchell's (the author's) description, it's exactly like the 'exp' utility that Scott refers you to (when you go over to tahiti, look for the Utilities Manual). One difference is that in Oracle terms, a MySQL database is an Oracle schema owner, so you don't have to do a full export (just for one user, the schema owner).
