Greetings fellow Oracle users.

I have some Oracle Recovery / Disaster Recovery questions for the group.

Are your databases still backed up to tape? Are those tapes valid? Are you sure?
Have you ever had to restore a database from tape? Did the recovery go as smoothly and as quickly as it needed to? If a Disaster strikes, will you be solely dependent on a tape with some raw data on it and therefore have to rebuild your databases from scratch?

If these questions have you thinking, or more to the point worrying about the status of recovery processes in your company, we believe Database Appliances has the solution.

Database Appliances BackupButler(TM) is an intelligent computer system that alleviates the headaches associated with database backup, recovery and disaster recovery. The system comes fully equipped with its own backup file disk space and has all of the functionality necessary for backup and recovery of your databases built right in.
