No. :-)

We did a full physical backup before. The re-org destroyed the disks' contents. The reo-rg was also due to a weird problem. We have 3 fibre channels running into an EMC array. Still, running a _single_ Oracle process with 2 PQ's, causes yellow alerts on a probable disk bottleneck to be issued.

Use any more processes and the alert goes red. To solve this problem it was decided to restripe all the disks and rebuild the volume sets for the Oracle file systems. The physical backup was restored afterwards.

All well and fine until the next weird problem comes along. Never seen a ORA-607 myself before.. and have worked with tables 10x the size of this 80 million one and never had bad indexes showing as valid with what seems to be invalid rowids. Maybe is just all part of Oracle's Job Protection Scheme. Keeping us in the business.. ;-)

Thanks for your comments Hans.
