Net Config Assistant vs Net Manager

If you configure your local naming using the Net Config Assistant, it will add a net service name to the tnsname.ora. But the problem is that if you open the Net Manager, and look under the Service Naming Tab, there is nothing there, you cannot find the local naming that you configure with the Net Config Assistant, even though the modification was made in tnsname.ora. I find it better to use the Net Manager to add the local naming so that you can see all the stuff in the same interface. Received on Fri May 30 2003 - 18:12:00 CDT
