Almost all vendors are embracing open source and will do so just as long as it doesn't impact their profitability.

The employees at RedHat love open source. But none of them are quitting their jobs to volunteer for places in the unemployment queue.

This has nothing to do with open source versus proprietary. It has to do with the honoring one's word. And DJ did not get 10i with the understanding that he had no obligations to demonstrate control of his tongue and his fingers. Many people have 10i. A good friend of mine has had it for months. That doesn't mean he has the right to violate the NDA.
