Advice to Daniel. Get Blow Hard's one-on-one Bully Pulpit. There, you will acquire quotes which will allow you to recite things written by someone else so often that they become your own original thoughts.

I have Tom's book. It is quite good. For migration projects, it helps you identify pitfalls. It doesn't state, don't migrate. It says be aware of the differences, be ready for Oracle to look worse and behave differently than SQLServer and others. It doesn't state, don't migrate. It also doesn't state, don't use Oracle Migration Workbench. This is a useful tool to help someone get to Oracle. If you truly think that all of production SQLServer stored procs's working code should just be scrapped and completely rewritten and rearchitected, I think you need to buy someone else's book, I'm just not sure who's book that is.
