It isn't, actually. It's the fact that the symjitc compiler interrogates the processor to find out what it is, and wasn't prepared to hear back the answer 'Pentium 4', because that hadn't been invented yet. Interrogating the processor and not understanding the reply happens on all O/Ses that happen to run on said porcessor.
