I agree. While I have often wished that those developers who preceded me had learned to write clear, human understandable code ... well, alas! ... in the real world, I often had to slog thru the muddy waters of someone's spaghetti code to find where I needed to make a change. Even COBOL, proclaimed by its developers as a self-documenting language, in the hands of a haphazard thinker became sheer torture to modify.

If all developers were organized, then there wouldn't be a market for these beautifiers ... and apps written in object-oriented languages would be composed of simple, clearly defined modules or classes that could be folded together into a seamless, full application. And pigs would fly.
