Hi all,
I need an solution for the following problem:
- we have 2 oracle instances, but we need 4 environments (for
development & testing, production and support)
- the easiest way would be to set up 2 more instances (but
unfortunately the
Service Provider will charge highest rates for this)
- for our application we need a set of 3 schemes (one scheme is with
code and will control the data in 2 other schemes)
- the next idea was to setup different sets of schemes in one single
instance and to create db-links to the corresponding data schemes
within the control schema. However this isn't working, because one
cannot use DDL on "remote" db links.
Can anyone give me a guess how to solve this?
