Hi,
Not sure if this is relevant to you, but there can certainly be problems with the Intelligent Agent and dbsnmp process consuming large amounts of CPU on an AIX box. We've had constant problems with both 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 agents. This may or may not be an issue on HP platforms too.
