I tried to use the mapped drive, it didn't work out.
What I did:
Mapped it to G drive.
Created a new directory named arc.
alter system set log_archive_dest_2='LOCATION=g:\arc';
I got error message:
ORA-09291: sksachk: invalid device specified for archive destination OSD-04018: Unable to access the specified directory or device. O/S-Error: (OS 3) The system cannot find the path specified.

: It looks like you are trying to write to the server \\test but without specifying a directory on it..
: If you have mapped it to a drive letter on the server, use that...but you will need to specify a directory..surely you do not
: want to try to write to the root of the C: drive...
