David, I cannot answer your question on the KGLS heap, but I was wondering have you contacted Oracle support to see if this 04031 is caused by a known bug? Also have you reviewed the metalink 04031 documentation to make sure your shared pool is not just too small, that you need to increase the reserved area above the default, or a similar manageable condition?
