Ah, one more adjustment to my own writing. Do not try to take the snapshots regularly too often (minutes or so). Statspack eventually _will_ fill your tablespace where you installed it. Actually it's the stats$sqltext -table which holds the SQL-statements from the snapshot.

 From my experience the statspack works best by manually taking two snapshots when the problem is 'in hand' and then taking a report from that moment.
