update:
I renamed symcjit.dll > .bak as suggested in previous posts on this ng

The installer ran upto 99% on standard installation then failed at: Error writing to file oracle/orapersonal/ODBC/dnsconvert.exe

Retry reproduces the error Received on Tue Apr 29 2003 - 15:13:02 CDT
