Morning,

install, patch then create the database(s).

If you install, create then patch, you'll have more work to do to upgrade all the created databases. There are about 3 or 4 scripts to run to upgrade any existing databases (on HPUX anyway).

What is the best order to install new Tru64 box with new database?

  1. Install Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 software, create database and apply Oracle 9.3 patchkit. or
  2. Install Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 software, applay 9.3 patchkit and then create new database.
