Hi Peter,

my favourite way for doing this is:
- create a shortcut to the GUI sql*plus (e.g. plus80w.exe) - modify the property working directory in this shortcut

   to your needs
- BINGO. I use this way because I work on many different procects (nearly) simultaneously. I create shortcuts for every project. That prevents me from logging into the wrong database etc. It allows me to store specific scripts in the project's directory structure.

But if your just have one project, I think, setting SQLPATH is the way to go.
