People have asked RedHat about LVM, and got the answer that adding it to RHAS wouldn't be supported. This meant to me they wouldn't help with it, and if you had a kernel problem, the first thing they would tell you to do is remove it.

It is one of the small tipping points toward SuSE. (Veritas VM is an approved product for RHAS though, and you could check Sistina to see if they have a supported version on RHAS.)

If you can't get 1.07 working, I'd check the kernel requirements carefully. Maybe an older LVM version would work.
