This is an Oracle 8.1.5 instance running on Solaris 8 using the InterMedia module, which I'm told requires MTS or parts of it.

I've heard different things from different sources, but nothing concrete.

How serious is the nature of 'dispatcher timer' and 'virtual circuit status' in an MTS instance? These show up at the top for wait events.

Can these be ignored, or not?

                         Time % AvgWait p/Exec p/UserCall p/Trans

dispatcher timer 958620 48.68% 6145.00 2.17 3.03 0.00

virtual circuit status 952630 48.38% 3073.00 2.15 3.01 0.00

Thanks in advance. Received on Thu Apr 17 2003 - 15:31:31 CDT
