Building libORACLE.so

Hi,
I am using Oracle v7.3.3.
The OS has recently been upgraded from OSF v3.0 to Tru64 v5.1 I have noticed there is not a libORACLE.so , I need to link with it. I have a libORACLE.so from OSF V3.0 (but not in proper place). I am basically wondering how I build a new libORACLE.so or how I could find out how to.
I am not sure if I could use the same libORACLE between OS versions. ta
