Took me a while and an example. I made the same mistake in using :new rather than :old and sure enough, I got the 'n rows deleted' message, but nothing was deleted. Then I spotted the 'obvious' error :o).

Nah, when you post something that is incorrect, someone will [gently] advise you. Hell, why do you think I post replies - I learn more that way :o)
