Howard, one of the reasons I gave up on being a full time DBA was that for nearly 14 years I was bombarded with this kind of rubbish. By whomever Oracle decided to promote as "expert du jour".

On and on, relentlessly, I had to put up with this sort of rubbish and a LOT MORE. And *NOT ONCE* did Oracle EVER support me in getting this ignorance off the market. Quite the opposite, in fact. Dunno about you, but it gets sort of "under the skin" after a while...
