It does, but you need to make a workaround for some issues. The first problem is the installer. It hangs early in the installation process when copying README.
That can be solved by exporting LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 The rest is more like installing 9i on RH8, but I didn' manage to get dbca to run, so I installed the database manually after installing the software.
