Anyone using Veritas Snapshots for Hot Backups???

We are running Oracle 8i and 9i on Solaris 8 64-bit. We are exploring some of the advanced Veritas features that we have purchased including filesystem checkpoints and snapshots. Veritas engineers claim that traditionally hot backups are unnecessary using filesystem snapshots, so we are looking into this.

Anyone here using filesystem snapshots for hot backups?

Thx,
Chuck
