Eh?

By default, segment space auto (ie, 'segment space management auto' as part of the create tablespace statement) implies absolutely nothing about extent sizes, merely that space management should be performed using bitmaps rather than freelists.

Where do you get the idea that ASSM has anything to do with extent sizes??
