My general feeling is to say "go for it!" However, (and file this under the heading of unsubstantiated rumors), I have a relative who was teaching CS at a university down there, who left because the general social and economic situation was deteriorating. So be sure you know what you are getting into as far as living situations and such.

I have worked with Brazilians, and from what I've seen, if they can do Oracle well, they do quite fine (at least here in America, and I don't think Canada is all that different in the computer world).
