This post just makes me wonder why people get so het up about things like this?!
OK, so you don't like vi and don't use it - so that's your choice. Lots of people DO like vi and DO use it - that's THEIR choice. Why does it bother you that those of us who like vi continue to use it or "defend" it? What harm does it do you?

My ending to your "joke" would be:

There are two more neanderthals even further down the bar. One grunts, "My IQ is just above zero". The other, after a long pause, mumbles "What's an IQ? Who cares, let's moan and groan and attack the bloke who invented the term".
