I am trying to install 8i enterprise on a windows 2000 domain controller, and am having problems configuring directory access through the Active Directory. I am using the Net8 configuration assistant, choosing configure directory access, then configure this oracle home to use an existing directory service, then choosing active directory.

The server that Oracle is sitting on is the Operations Master, and the Schema Master and I have set the Schema Update option to allow AD Schema to be updated on this server.

When I go through and choose the server its on, it sees the oracle schema objects have not been created, And asks if I want to create them. I say yes and see : Net8 was unable to create the schema, You must update the schema from a computer that directly supports your directory service. Now its sitting on the Schema master and I can update the schema from this Server, so does anyone have an idea what has gone wrong?

Windows 2000 has service pack 3 installed. Could that be the problem?  Amit Received on Wed Apr 02 2003 - 08:57:37 CST
