I believe Oracle won't provide support for the freely downloadable versions
of Linux anymore, only the 'Professional' or 'Enterprise' versions that you
have to pay for. Details are on the Oracle web site.
Having said this, I'm told that Oracle will probably run under Redhat 7.1. Redhat's web site still describes Oracle 9.2 as certified under Redhat 7.1. I've also heard that Oracle will run under later versions of Redhat Linux, but Oracle technical staff will not provide support for it.
