there are some tools in the W2K Resource Kit worth downloading. Here is a non-MS link:

delsrv sounds like its worth a shot.

C:\Program Files\Resource Kit>delsrv OracleServiceO8IBEGIN The command completed successfully.

Wow - delsrv.exe - kills services dead.
Not even marked as "Disabled" - just plain gone.

I'm impressed.
