And I don't disagree for one moment.

Both you and Van Messner:

  1. have large enough databases for export/import to be an issue
  2. know what you are doing

This is not intended to cast a slur on the abilities of the OP, by the way. But this NG does have many readers, with varying levels of knowledge. Nevertheless, perhaps I over-stressed the advantages of the 'safe' approach in my response.
