it works very well on Solaris 9, just be careful with native libraries used by OCI drivers, you might have 32/64 bits issues. But it is easy to solve, just give LD_LIBRARY_PATH env variable the correct path to new Oracle libs (and Solaris 9 libs, depending of you apps).
