I've already tried using explorer to manually launch autorun.exe & setup.exe...

Ok for the Pentium 4 issue: I know it's a fixed bug in 9i, but always forgot it!

The same install worked on another machine (2000 Server with SP3), but there was a 8i install on these second machine, which I properly deinstall,
then reinstall 9iR2... That was ok?!
