Hi!

Actually I was talking about Oracle standby server, I'm not familiar with hp serviceguard.
What I wanted to point out, is that usually everything can be done with standard OS and Oracle tools, without paying huge amounts of money for software which is just a GUI interface for simple scripts... Even the IP address transfer.

I'll let others speak about the benefits of serviceguard.
