You indicate that you've tried to install over a previous installation. If you want to do a clean install, you'll need to *completely* remove any knowledge of Oracle from your NT server. I've posted such a checklist to several comp.databases.oracle.* NGs recently. Search Google groups for my post.

If it worked OK in the past, perhaps a clean install will get it working again.
