Today my Oracle 8.1.7 EE database backup doesn't pass as usual. The backup scripts have worked for me a long time day by day, but today I have an error. This is a part of RMAN output:

...

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03007: retryable error occurred during execution of command: backup
RMAN-07004: unhandled exception during command execution on channel d1 RMAN-10035: exception raised in RPC: ORA-19504: failed to create file "/ora2/backup_DKDB/db/DKDB_datafiles.39egeu8b_105_1_030226-2150" ORA-27044: unable to write the header block of file Linux Error: 22: Invalid argument
Additional information: 2
RMAN-10031: ORA-19624 occurred during call to DBMS_BACKUP_RESTORE.BACKUPPIECECREATE
...

Have to mention that nothing was changed on the server the day before. I checked permissions and disk space usage -- everything Ok.

Please any advice! Received on Thu Feb 27 2003 - 08:10:59 CST
