Oracle 9i doesn't disable the Solaris filesystem cache and one could only wish it *did*, because having a cache in Oracle and in Solaris doesn't make sense, especially while the Solaris file cache is paged as is the Oracle cache.
If you are running on vfs filesystems *disable* the file cache by mounting your filesystems with forcedirectio. I have seen examples of Solaris eating up all available RAM for file cache purposes.

Other than that I agree with Daniel your post comes down to 'It doesn't work' and you don't provide any appropiate clues.
