Move the DB from Sun T3 to EMC symmetric - Suggest the BACKUP plans**

I am planning to move the database from Sun storage to EMC Symm. Now we have our production database on Sun Storeage T3's and we are moving entire database
(all tablespaces, redologs, control file ) on to EMC. I woule like to know
what are the pre-cautions have to taken. Here is my hardware and software Configuration: Sunfire 3800 ( 8CPU's, 8GB RAM )
Solaris 5.8 (08/02)
Veritas VM, VFS, QuickIO for Oracle
Oracle 8.1.6.0.0
The database size is ~ 700 GB.

I am planning to do:

For the redo log and control files i am following the Concepts manual.

I would be appreciate you suggestions.
