The database can't be started up

Hello all,

I have trouble starting up the database. The server crashed so I restarted it. The database services are set up to automatically start when the operating system loads. Nothing seemed to happen so I did a shut down immediate of the database. Later I realized from the trace file that I did the shutdown while a recovery was taking place (and, by the way, it was about to end). Now the database won't start up. Any ideas how to deal with this?

Thanks a lot,
