Hello group,
I'm working with Oracle 8.1.7 EE on Win 2000.

Last week I made a cold backup of my db instance called HOHO. I backed up the following files:
- datafiles

Now I have a brand new machine, with a new Oracle 8.1.7 EE installation. I don't even have a new Oracle instance yet. Question: can I restore my database HOHO from the files listed above, considering arch. redo logs, init.ora and instance for that database are missing? Thx, Received on Thu Feb 20 2003 - 14:37:27 CST
