This is kind of worrisome, did you really have to recreate the instance for a minor point upgrade? See the Oracle Migration Guide for instructions on manually upgrading/downgrading the database, it's just a SQL script like $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/c0801060.sql. Did you change the locations of the datafiles? Do you have the controlfiles?
