Don't use "autoextend on" for datafiles. create datafiles of size say 512M, 1024M. never delete them, just reuse them if you drop that tablespace. don't allow *any* other files to be created on any filesystem that contains oracle datafiles, including archived logs. datafiles only. and don't use autoextend for datafiles. just add datafiles to tablespaces when needed.
keep 50% free space on every volume. that way, you know you have room for a trial recovery or 2. and NTFS will behave as you want it to that way.
and you won't need to defragment.
