Newbie: bandwidth pb

Hello,

I have a Java GUI client application that accesses an Oracle DB (oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver). I have a problem of bandwidth as soon as there are 5 to 6 users using this appli from different PCs: the 64kbits is not enough and the response time is very slow (too much activity between the driver and the DB).

My question are:
- Which tool would be available to monitor the current traffic ?

Which solutions exist to reduce the bandwidth ?
