Just in case if someone else may run into this. Here is what worked for me.



    
  
  1.   Download gzipped files using IE to my Win2K laptop.
  
  2.   Use Winzip to unzip the files.
  
  3.   ftp the cpio files to linux server.






Little time consuming but it did work.
