I can think of a couple of customers who are running larger databases than what you're thinking of here (the biggest one I can think of is about 65 TB, though we've been working for some time with a client wanting to address 57 PB of data), but IIRC they have much more easily partitionable data. The 57 PB site is still in the design phase and has a much different architectural requirement than what I can see of yours from the other postings.
