My experience too Howard. I was nominated for a teaching award the very first year I taught. And a lot of it came from a combination of relying on real-world experience, not sugar coating my answers, and making self-motivation important to success.

Other than that one nastly little trick they played on me as we both recall all too well it has been wonderful. Let the whiners whine.
