Suspected as much. It's one of those notebooks which depends on the old umbilical cord. Nothing wrong with that, though, in real life. Takes less space in the family home; is reasonably easily lugged to and plugged into clients' offices; etc, etc.

I just get pissed off by the portable appliance makers' unrealistic claims.
