Hi
Planning and pre-configuring a system for RAC 9i ( RedHat 8.0 / 2.4.18-14smp).
Only one node for now - second node will be added later. Compiled "ocfs.o" module for current kernel. Loaded module.
Created Oracle Cluster FS size 28 GB cluster size 4k and it's extreamly slow.
Is there tuning guidelines for OCFS?

I understand the advantages OCFS provides for RAC cluster management, but common trend is - using Linux and PC to save some $ - so performance degradation, because of software, is quite critical on cheap hardware.

What is process "ocfsnm-0" doing? I see it on "top" all the time.

Any experience is welcome. Thanks for your replies. vt Received on Thu Jan 16 2003 - 16:04:43 CST
